If you’re visiting Gilroy, California, you’ll soon find there’s too much to do in just one day! Take time to enjoy our world-famous Garlic Festival and explore other local attractions, wineries, golf courses, parks, museums, theaters, and more. There really is something for everyone!

Drive a Little, Shop a Lot

The holidays are coming soon, and Gilroy’s a great place to shop without all the big-city traffic and crowds. At Gilroy Premium Outlets you’ll find extraordinary savings of 25-65% on 145 exceptional brands, including Coach, DKNY,  Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors, and more. Save even more during the Midnight Madness Sale, starting Thanksgiving Day at 6:00 pm.

Saturday, November 29 is Small Business Saturday and a great chance to check out the boutiques and antique shops in Historic Downtown Gilroy, where you can discover unique one-of-a-kind gifts—and feel good about supporting local businesses. You’ll also find lots of great restaurants and cafés, so you can rest, recharge, and keep on shopping!

Live On Stage

This month we’re lucky to have two great shows opening in Gilroy. “Love, Loss and What I Wore,” an intimate collection of monologues and ensemble pieces about life and fashion by Nora and Delia Ephron, runs November 1-30 at Limelight Actors Theater. And there’s always something funny going on at Pintello Comedy Theater, which presents “The Affections of May,” a feel-good comedy by Canadian playwright Norm Foster, November 7-29.  Don’t feel you have to choose – book a room at a local hotel and treat yourself to a theatrical two-fer weekend!

Lunch with Santa at Gilroy Gardens

This is a busy time up at the North Pole, but even Santa needs a lunch break. He’ll be making a quick visit to Gilroy Gardens on November 29 and 30 for a special “Lunch with Santa” event. Bring the whole family and enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet including three kinds of pasta, hot dogs, salad, and rolls, plus unlimited soft drinks and ice cream treats. You’ll also get to meet Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang...and get a sneak peek at the park’s amazing Holiday Lights displays! Read more...
